Chainsaw Carving

Chainsawn dragons

Chainsaw carving is great fun, a very different discipline to hand carving but the result, albeit on a larger scale, can be surprisingly intricate. It is a very satisfying use of timbers and standing trees that, sadly due to damage or decay, need to be removed. A creative way to recycle a material. Numerous projects have been undertaken for a range of clients including local authorities, parks, buisnesses, private landowners and individual's private gardens.

Ornamental Carving

Pugin style oak boss

Ornamental carving is the studios original style of carving and it has created many individual pieces of ornamental carved work over the last thirty years. The variety is considerable and includes: Architectural work, ecclesiastical carving, lettering & memorials, carved furniture, giltwood & ornamental framing, gilding & polishing and reproduction of carved works.

Restoration Carving

Giltwood restoration

Restoring or repairing an historic piece or a treasured family heirloom has always been an important and very enjoyable part of the studios work.

Sculptural Carving
