Carving wood is only possible with sharp tools.
Carving beginners, use of your purchased pre sharpened tools will cause them to dull their cutting edges making carving difficult to impossible. Realising that these tools need attention attempts made at sharpening can end in disaster and for some not knowing why, never to carve again.
Sharpening class will show you the types of equipment needed and how to use them correctly to regain those lost edges and keep them sharp
The class will be a practical demonstration and lecture (bring notepad & pen) on grinding, sharpening, honing, comprising the three most used tool types, the flat chisel the gouge and the dreaded V tool.
